Abstract: Men play a crucial role in family planning and related health decisions yet often lack information about family planning, sexually transmitted diseases, AIDS and other family health issues. Communication efforts that capture the attention of male audiences encourage men to take more responsibility for these decisions, encourage men to support their partners in their efforts to use family planning methods, and increase men's use of contraception as well. This issue of "What's New" showcases print and audio-visual materials targeted to men's involvement in family planning decisions. It also includes a list of materials recently received by the M/MC on adolescents, AIDS, IUD, mass media, oral contraceptives and religion vs. family planning. less
